The result is a stunning rendering that shows off the Tacoma’s muscular body with some added flair. The front fascia features a blacked-out grille with a large GR logo, LED headlights with integrated DRLs, and a sporty bumper with large air intakes and fog lights. The hood also has a scoop for extra cooling and aerodynamics.
The side profile reveals some black alloy wheels wrapped in off-road tires, red brake calipers, black fender flares, and side steps. The rear end has a dual exhaust system, a tailgate spoiler, and a GR badge. The body color is a vibrant blue that contrasts nicely with the black accents.
The interior is not shown in the rendering, but we can imagine it would have some sporty touches as well, such as leather seats with GR embroidery, a flat-bottomed steering wheel with paddle shifters, aluminum pedals, and carbon fiber trim.
However, there’s just one problem – besides the fact that Toyota hasn’t started production or sales of the latest Tacoma iteration. The issue at hand concerns the massive grade roster that is already official. Indeed, the company wanted to ensure it could cover all the basics when preparing for the brawl with the Nissan Frontier, Honda Ridgeline, Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon, Jeep Gladiator, and the Ford Ranger.
