We sleep with a cat to the sounds of a frosty blizzard in a cozy winter house. A frosty winter snowstorm is raging outside the window, but inside it is warm and cozy, the fireplace warms and gives a pleasant feeling of warmth, comfort and safety. Story line:
" I woke up to a strong snowstorm outside my window. The room was almost dark, only the yellow-red light from the fireplace flame slightly illuminated the room. I was lying covered with a blanket, a fluffy little cat, Toby, was sleeping sweetly next to me. He made purring sounds, it was clear that he was very good. Despite the fact that the fireplace was very warm, the room was slightly cool. This was obvious, since the temperature outside the window was -35 degrees Celsius. There has not been such a cold winter in our village for a very long time. I got out from under the blanket, looked at the clock, it showed half past four in the morning. Then I went to look out the window, there was a strong snowstorm outside, the wind speed was stunning, the branches of the pine trees were bending from the strong load of the wind and the heavy snow that was falling on them. The neighbors' houses stood opposite also lonely, only in some of them was there any light from the fireplace. At that moment I thought about how good it is that I’m on vacation and I don’t have to go anywhere tomorrow. The house was full of food, water, firewood, kerosene, and other necessary things that might be needed in an emergency. Apparently this snowstorm will drag on for several days, and I will have to spend them sitting at home. I was glad about this, because I had long wanted to sit idle, read books, cook food, listen to the radio, or just dream while lying on the floor by the fireplace. If it had not been for the snowstorm, I would not have been able to do any of this, since there would have been many other things to do. I stood at the window for a couple of minutes, and then, feeling a little cold, I remembered that I needed to add wood to the fireplace. I took some logs nearby and put them in the fireplace. This should have been enough to keep the fireplace warm until the morning. Then I quickly, literally jumped out of my slippers, jumped onto the bed again and crawled under the warm duvet. It was warm and cozy here, Toby was still sleeping soundly. The sounds of the blizzard drifted slightly into the house, and the fireplace complemented this wonderful atmosphere with its pleasant crackling firewood. I lay and looked out the window, watching the flakes of snow flying past, and after a while I fell asleep sweetly. "
