Ingredients of Shol Machher Rassa:
1. Shol mach.
2. Mustard oil.
3. Turmeric powder.
4. Cumin seeds (1 tsp).
5. Garam masala powder.
6. Garam masala.
7. Coriander seeds (1 tsp).
8. Red chilli powder.
9. Green chilli (4pcs).
10. Bay leaf (1 pc).
11. Salt.
12. Sugar.
13. Chopped onion (one medium size).
14. Ginger paste.
15. Sliced tomato (one big size).
16. 2 nos. of potatoes (cut in to cube pcs)
17. Dried chilli (3pcs).
18. Ghee

Methods of Shol Macher Rassa:
Step 1: Heat the pan. Roast all the masala like 2 dry chilli, ¾ tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tsp of coriander seeds, ½ tsp salt. Make a smooth paste of those masala and 4 green chillis by mixer grinder.
Step 2: Marinate the fish with ½ tsp of turmeric powder and ½ tsp of salt. Keep it for 5 min.
Step 3: Heat the pan very well. Then pour mustard oil.  Fry the fish both side gently.
Step 4: Then fry all potato pcs very well.
Step 5: Take 3 tbsp mustard oil in a hot pan. Add garam masala, ¼ tsp of cumin seeds, 1 dried chilli and 1 bay leaf in oil.
Step 6: Add chopped onion and fry till become golden brown color.
Step 7: Add tomato pcs and cook for 1 min.
Step 8: Add 2 tsp of ginger paste, roasted masala paste, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp sugar and cook for 3 to 5 min.
Step 9: Add fry potatoes. Cook it 1 min again. Add ½ tsp garam masala powder.
Step 10: Add some water. Close the lid.
Step 11: When the water become boiling add the fried fish in it. Close the lid again and cook for 10 to 15 min in medium flame.
Step 12: After 10 min check the taste of salt & sugar. Add more as per your taste.
Step 13: Finally add 1/2 tsp garam masala powder and one and half tsp ghee. Put off gas oven. Close the lid for 5 min.
Step -- 14: Now ready your Shol Macher Rassa or Shol Macher Rosha. Serve hot with steamed rice.
