The book ONE DAY has been turned into a 2011 film and also a 2024 Netflix TV show.
In the film of One Day, Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess portrayed Emma and Dexter, respectively.
In the Netflix show, Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall star in the lead roles across 14 episodes.
Filming for the TV show took place on location at the University of Edinburgh's Old College, as well as the city centre, West End, and Old Town and also Islington in London.
One Day is a novel by David Nicholls, published in 2009. Each chapter covers the lives of two protagonists on 15 July, St Swithin's Day, for 20 years. At the time of the book's publication, Nicholls wrote that he was adapting his novel as a film script. He acknowledged the difficulties in casting people who "could be both students and middle-aged! But I think we've found a way. Wether there will be a sequel to One Day is anyone's guess, author David Nicholls is revealing nothing about a sequel or follow up to the hugely popular book and Netflix TV show.
