Welcome to the Sahara Desert,
Welcome to the Sahara Desert, Morocco! The Sahara Desert is the largest hot desert in the entire world. It's also home to the indigenous people of North Africa – the Berbers - who travel by camel with livestock & hand crafted items such as pottery, rugs, and jewellery to sell in the souks.
We have travelled all the way from the city of Marrakech to stay in a remote luxury camp in the Merzouga portion of the desert. Join us as we run around the picturesque (ignoring the gale-force wind as much as possible) sand dunes - marvelling at the pastel sunset, watching the moon rise and night sky full of stars.
We finish our incredible stay by going on a private camel ride, guided by a friendly Berber. We see herds of wild camels going for their daily walks, and settle for a mint tea picnic.
This was definitely a once in a lifetime experience, and one that we will never forget! Thank you to the Berber people for showing us such a warm welcome.
