Another part of the documentary chronicle about the battles of the Third Separate Assault Brigade, namely the 2nd Battalion of the 3rd SABr, against the enemy in the Bakhmut direction. The commanders of the 2nd assault battalion of the 3rd SABr share their impressions of the war and certain results of the unit's work at the hottest part of the front.

“Everyone wanted to go to Bakhmut. Because everyone knew that the main action is here, that the fucking wagnerites are here. I’m totally happy with my choice. My brother was killed in the Bakhmut direction and I wanted to avenge him,” – “Datsik”, commander of 2nd platoon of 2nd battalion of 3rd SABr recalls.
Very often, both during previous combat encounters and now, we are sent to cover such dangerous areas. We understand that we are in conditions of intense war. If we had arrived a week later, we would probably have met the enemy somewhere in Kostyantynivka or Kramatorsk already,” – “Slip”, commander of 2nd battalion of 3rd SABr believes.
The fighters had to dig trenches and set up dugouts under heavy enemy fire, and at one of the positions on the very first night, the soldiers engaged in a battle with the enemy at a distance of 50 meters.
The Bakhmut direction is intense and exhausting shooting fights. The distances of fire contact with the enemy are much shorter here, requiring a lot of concentration, attention, and often a creative approach from the fighters.
“A great thing about our brigade is that we’ve got many officers who do not have a soviet military education. They do not operate according to what the old field manuals tell. Those are creative people, because war is art,” - “Kagor”, commander of the tank group, attached to 2nd AB says.
Bakhmut means long and difficult assaults, lasting several days, when one group of wagnerites-prisoners is driven after another, and weapons jam due to continuous fire in the direction of the enemy.
“Fucking zombies. I don't know what motivates them. We searched some of the dead bodies and each of them had some kind of pills with them. In any case, a person has to be on something, because I don't know how this can be tolerated. It is psychologically hard. You are on your own, crawling point blank to us. This is 100% suicide. You will be hit either as you’re approaching or on your way back,” – “Datsik” states.
