BC Surgical Patient Prehabilitation - Physical Activity

With an increasingly aging population, there are a growing number of patients with complex conditions and in need of surgeries.

The Surgical Patient Optimization collaboration SPOC aims to improve assessment and management of these patients, which will in turn reduce adverse events, increase patient and caregiver satisfaction, and improve post-operative outcomes, and address the need for a coordinated approach to surgical patient prehabilitation in BC.

This is an initiative of the Doctors of BC and BC Government through the Joint Collaborative Committees.
