Paratroopers injured during Independence Day rehearsals

At least four paratroopers were when their parachutes failed to open properly during the Independence Day rehearsals being held at Galle Face Green.

Army Spokesman Major General K.A.N. Rasika Kumara said two paratroopers landed on a building when their parachutes failed to open.

It was reported that during a parachute rehearsal, two parachutes collided in the sky, resulting in an accident.

Two paratroopers from the Sri Lanka Air Force and two paratroopers from the Army sustained injuries in the incident.
