Well, our travels in Greece have now brought us to its capital city, Athens. The previous few days has seen temperatures at The Acropolis exceed 40c, resulting in early closures of many of the main sites.
So with such conditions forecast, it's only natural that 'The Cookes' decide to try and visit all 7 of the main locations in one day !!!
When will we learn !!

Is it possible to TRAVEL YOURSELF HAPPY? Let's find out !
We are the Cookes, Nicola, and Nigel. We love to travel. In 2018 we bought and converted a VW Transporter van and spent 3 years traveling around the UK and Ireland. At the time we also travelled with our beloved cat, Guinness. She was 20. Sadly we lost Guinness in Feb of 2020 and then well the rest of the world went to pot.
After a few 3 month trips to northern Spain and France, In early 2023 we sold our property back in Ireland and hit the road full time. For the remainder of 2023 we explored Spain, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
2024 has us exploring Greece as well as Italy, Slovenia and The Alps ....
This channel will primarily focus on our travels, with the odd smattering of photography and food thrown in for good measure.
