Yes, Ashcrawl is heavily inspired by Ashfur, that's why he loves to yell at people in the fire.

Ashpaw became an apprentice of Tulipspots. But everything starts to change after finding four rougue kits in an abandoned barn.

After Tulipspots adopted them, his mentor changed to Horizondawn. Horizondawn tried his best to train Ashpaw, but Ashpaw kept ingnoring him because he was angry, thinking Tulipspots abandoned him.

Ashpaw became outsider of the clan as he neglected his duties. And since he kept losing by Mossypaw(Mossyshell) from Mistclan in monthly training among clans, his self-esteem lowered harshly. This ended up him to push Mossypaw away, his only best friend. And of course, he blamed Tulipspots for lack of his own fighting skill.

After few months, he met a rougue in the abandoned barn. Who said she can teach him how to break his cycle of depression.

Ashcrawl ended up killing Tulipspots in the forest fire, hoping no one noticed it. But at the funeral, he noticed Troutkit, one of four kits adopted by Tulipspots, looking at him eerily.
