Hear the Warhawks "roar" their way into the US's first officially declared war!
We use to trade with France and with England,
But then they started to impress our men,
Not by enrapturing them,
Instead by capturing them,
So we said to both "we can 't be bros"
1807, passed an embargo,
But it destroyed our trade,
What a mistake we made,
In 1810 we told them,
With just one we could be friends,
France was first and now we can,
Be amis with Napoleon,
England's worse than ever now,
All their warships are on the prowl,
There's just one choice that we have
We must show we do not play, listen to Henry Clay and fight them,
Cause we are the warhawks, and we want to go to war!
On to Canada, and de-Brit the continent,
We want to go to war!
Things are not going quite as we planned,
Britain got the Native Americans,
Fighting us in the west ,
This war is such a mess,
France has fallen, England can, send over here all of its men,
They're storming into DC now, and the White House just got burnt down,
McHenry 's still standing strong, Francis Key just wrote a song,
And in New Orleans, Old Hickory won,
At least we proved we're a fighter, not a colony, to be messed with now quick, sign that treaty
Cause we got to end this war
Not one inch of Territory Ceded or Lost
Not bad for our first war!
