The turquoise lagoon of SINGRENACOCHA,
The turquoise lagoon of SINGRENACOCHA, also known as SIRENACOCHA is the largest in the region among the turquoise lagoons, this unusual turquoise lagoon of Cusco has an area of 277 hectares, the name of this lagoon means THE MERMAID LAGOON, the color of this Cusco lagoon on the Andes changes color according to the dry and rainy periods. 🌄😼
The reasons for a lagoon to have this color is due to various climatic factors such as altitude, geological formation, the climate of the sector, the microbiology of the flora and fauna, in addition to the geological material carried by the river that comes because of the thaws from the snow-capped mountains, the pulverized material that comes from the rocks is suspended in the water which allows this turquoise coloration. 🌄😼
On the other hand, the color is also due to the electromagnetic effect, this effect of the light spectrum is thanks to the fact that the colors of the rainbow are absorbed by the water, except the blue and green colors, this selective selection of the colors allows it to be see this phenomenon on the waters of this lake. 🌄😼
