Designed to be the ultimate in big-bore touring bike of the late 1970s, Kawasaki's KZ1300 (Z1300 in Europe) was the biggest, most powerful production motorcycle money could buy at the time of its debut in 1979. Though it never had the glamor of Honda's CBX, the KZ1300 was still an impressive machine with many unique features and, of course, that wonderfully smooth 6-cylinder, 120hp motor! I have ridden both the fully faired and standard versions of the KZ1300 extensively. In this review, I'll be sharing my riding impressions, looking at the technical and performance specs of the bike, and sharing a few sound clips of this unique motorcycle. Let's take a look at Kawasaki's mighty KZ1300!
