On the 2J 2K Ranch we are raising quality registered Maremma Sheepdogs on 20 rolling acres in the ruggedly beautiful Missouri Ozarks. You will find our Maremma's contentedly guarding chickens, lambs, sheep, cattle, calves, horses, and guinea fowl. Striving to preserve the breed, we take pedigree genetics and hip testing seriously. The Maremma's residing on our farm have excellent bloodlines and their hips have been X-rayed, evaluated, and scored with PennHip. They are bred for health, working ability, temperament, and conformation. We love the Maremma because they are a loyal livestock guardian dog who make their presence known with predators, all the while possessing a friendly temperament with people, dogs, and cats. When carefully choosing our Maremma's we traveled far, to bring home LGD’s from proven working parents. Denali is our male and his Dam is a direct Italian import. Bringing in her new bloodline adds diversity to the Maremma’s in the states. Our females have reputable foundational lines from many respected breeders and proven working Maremma’s. 2J 2K Maremma puppies have a pedigree with a low inbreeding coefficient. This is a key aspect in the preservation of the Maremma Sheepdog’s future vitality.
