This video pays tribute to two significant buildings on the TUD campus where Inholland has achieved remarkable milestones.

The Inholland Composites Delft lab, located in building 45, served as the primary machine lab where students and researchers developed various (automated) solutions for composites manufacturing. This included pioneering Digital Twinning projects using VR and AR. Numerous applied research projects have been conducted here, utilizing advanced composites manufacturing machinery (including the campus's largest autoclave), creating significant results for the industry. The lab, which originated in Haarlem in 1988, moved to Delft in 2004 and has been housed in building 45 since its transition from the Industrial Engineering faculty in 2016.

Building 46A, the API building, was incorporated as a project and experimentation space in 2021. This expansion provided fantastic space for students to undertake their Design, Build, Test projects and fostered numerous collaborations with aerospace companies. Within this space, significant projects were realized, including the development of the Electric Dragonfly aircraft, several scale model aircraft (with a wingspan of 3.5 meters), multiple full-motion flight simulators featuring VR and AR, a full-size mockup of a conceptual double-deck aircraft (with two rows of seats), a boat, an electric car, numerous rockets, and various exotic demonstrators, primarily focusing on sustainable aviation and space topics.

Now, it's time for a new chapter. As of September 2024, we will be relocating to "the Terminal," a prime location for aerospace and advanced materials developments at Rotterdamseweg 266A. We look forward to seeing you there.
