The labour shortage in Canada's agriculture sector is already in a bad state but it's poised to get worse.
A new report by RBC shows 40 per cent of Canadian farmers are set to retire by 2033, with two-thirds having no succession plan, leaving the future of farmland up in the air. Within the next three decades, the labour shortfall is set to hit 24,000 workers.
As Anne Gaviola explains, experts are warning that fewer workers could lead to even more food inflation.
