A superlative analog turntable for music gournets.
Unique distinguishing feature in addition to other ingenious refinements: The concept is as ingenious as the construction is simple, specifically: Without a mechanical bearing: The 10 inch tone arm (this is also available in 15.7 inches! on the WTL ROYAL 400) pierces a hemisphere that floats in an oil bath. This hemisphere, derived from a golf ball in design, is held in place by a thread hanging from a gallows. This thread is slightly twisted and is used to dynamically balance the skating effect. This brilliantly solves two problems: the complete permanent full damping of the tonearm to eliminate resonances and a dynamic adaptive counterforce to the skating effect.
Thus, all pickups of any price range can be gentle and exhaustive to work, for example, as in this case, an excellent very delicate AEC (DECCA) LONDON SUPER GOLD CARTRIDGE.
The uniqueness of the AEC Decca pick-up system lies in the immense mobility and the extremely low inertia of the needle, which does not require a cantilever due to the suspension. Using only a thread with manually precisely adjusted tension, the needle is guided in a heavy magnetic field with double coils. It is the most reactive system that exists in the high end cartrtidge world and produces a high output voltage.
The effect of smearing the movement of the needle produced by the cantilever, producing the smearing of the signal, is avoided, the signal is clearer, cleaner. The impulse reaction, the deflection, the impulse speed is significantly better, more concise, compared to all conventional systems.This high-quality Decca system, now produced by AEC, was frowned upon because of the high demands to stabilize of the needle in the vinyl groove The continious oil damping of the Symmetrex tonearm during the scanning is the ideal solution to this problem. The reactive Decca needle glides calmly and stably even through the shallows of the groove ,even with complex dynamic deflections, and holds the track more securely than with conventional mechanical bearings.
The full damping, with silicon oilbath, of the SYMMETREX tone arm creates ideal conditions for this very fast and easily movable AEC DECCA LONDON SUPER GOLD system.
And last but not least: Waved vinyls, that are otherwise unplayable, have the chance to come into their own again, thanks to this ideal combination, extremely effective cartridge and fully damped tonarm when playing your favorite vinyls.
