First Battalion The Royal Anglian
First Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment, known as 'the Vikings', have held early 'Minden Day' celebrations at Alexander Barracks in Dhekelia, Cyprus.
The yearly event sees a number of units from the British Army commemorate their regiments' participation in the Battle of Minden during the Seven Years' War in 1759.
The 1759 Battle of Minden saw six regiments, including the Vikings' predecessors, defeat the French cavalry.
