Toxic family dynamics can not only influence behavior but also the choices we make.
For manipulative and emotionally immature people, refusing to talk or work things out, engage in conversation with a goal of ending something, or addressing problems "head on," is an easy way to get out.
It's a hurtful way, in most cases, to engage in any kind of relationship.
For the person who is comfortable with ghosting others (i.e., leaving without notice, stonewalling, gaslighting, etc.), the behavior may have started in their childhood and definitely in their toxic family.
In this live chat, I tease apart the behaviors, the mindset, and the research on "ghosting."
