[Intermediate] How to fold a seemingly impossible Eagle Matchbox from a single dollar bill.  It slides out from either end!

Money-making idea: You could make a bunch of these models and sell them.  Especially if you fill them with matches and attach a striker, I'll bet you could sell them for at least $5 or $10 dollars each. I, Jeremy Shafer, give you permission to sell these. I even encourage it!

If you really want to use this as a match box, get strike anywhere matches and trim them with a clipper so that they fit into the box.  Alternatively you could get a conventional matchbox or matchbook and cut out the striker (the abrasive strip on a matchbook or matchbox upon which a match is struck) and somehow attach it to this model. Instead of using glue perhaps you could trim the striker so it's a small slender rectangle whose two ends can be inserted into the two tiny pockets at the corners of the inner box. That way you wouldn't damage the actual dollar.

This model is sort of based on Fred Rohm's dollar matchbox, but is different in that it's from a dollar instead of a 3X1 rectangle and the inner box is completely empty (On Fred Rohm's version there is a dividing flap inside that attaches the inner and outer boxes). Max Hulme also has a Matchbox from a 2X1 rectangle but I believe his only opens to one direction like David Brill's Matchbox taught by Sara Adams here: Origami Matchbox by David Brill (Part... (I could be mistaken). Edwin Corrie and Marc Kirschenbaum have designed matchboxes from a square and I also found a matchbox by Martin Wall from a rectangle (different from mine). So folding matchboxes is a popular pursuit in origami!
