Kannur Style Vanpayar Payasam (Red Cow Peas Payasam) - Soo rich with coconut milk, sweetened with jaggery, loaded with nutritious cow peas. Unlike the traditional kerala payasam, this one is thicker - pudding like consistancy. This is a very traditional payasam which my grandam and mom used to make. Sooo rich and delicious Vanpayar payasam always reminds me of my childhood. On off days mom used to make this as a breakfast item. It will fill you up really well. They taste so great the next day after refrigerating. Try it out, I am sure you will love it!
