Bookbinding for Beginners: How to Make a Journal

I took a bookbinding class
I took a bookbinding class in college which I really enjoyed, but I tended to get a bit frustrated and impatient following some of the complicated techniques. So, this is the very simple way that I like to make journals. Please keep in mind that this video is intended for beginners and is probably most helpful for beginners that are somewhat impatient or confused by more complicated tutorials. My goal was to keep everything simple and to use materials that are common in most households. I am not a professional, and I am not saying that this is the absolute best way to bind a book. But, this tutorial can definitely help you get started if you are just getting into bookbinding.
Also, to answer questions I've been getting in the comments -- YES you can use thread instead of dental floss. And YES you can use bigger paper instead of index cards. Whatever material you'd like to work with, yes, it will probably work with this tutorial. The best way to learn is to try it out for yourself so just go for it -- if for some reason it doesn't work then you can always go back and try something else! :)
