One of those things is ensuring that your leveling switch is calibrated properly. This means that when "down" or deployed, it will be perfectly perpendicular to the build plate. And when "Up" or recessed/retracted, it'll be up out of harms way. Having both of these points set properly means for longer printer life and fewer frustrations.
