Bromo: Eruption in March 2011

Mount Bromo was erupting in March 2011. The volcano spew volcanic ashes and lavaboms several 1000 m high. I climbed the volcano together with my friend Martin and Richard. Of course there was a 2 km exclusion zone around the crater. We spend a whole night on the crater rim and observed the eruptions. Sometimes lava bombs flew above the rim, but not at our direction. We investigated the eruption for several days before we climbed the rim and chose a place where no fresh bombs were.
