On April 12th, 2024, the Taal volcano unexpectedly produced an unexpected explosive eruption. Unlike prior events over the last 13 months, this eruption was long and consisted of dozens of phreatomagmatic bursts, ash ejection, and explosions. The first phase of this eruption lasted for 13 minutes until it temporarily stopped. Then, it was followed by additional smaller explosions which were recorded by webcam. This video will cover what might happen next, and state the series of events which led to this explosive eruption.

Note: This video's thumbnail image displays Taal's eruption on July 1st, 2021. I chose this image as it shows what one of Taal's larger explosions during its latest eruption might have looked like, albeit this shows an explosion 75% larger than what probably occurred.
