A 36-year-old Australian university professor with a background in ballroom dancing and a PhD in cultural studies, Gunn stood out in her standard Australian Olympic uniform, contrasting sharply with the hip-hop attire of her competitors. Although she lost all her battles, she embraced her unique, lighthearted style, bringing humor to the event.
Despite lacking the acrobatic moves of her rivals, Gunn was grateful for the opportunity to compete on such a grand stage, especially coming from a country where breaking isn’t widely popular.
