Some dragon fruit growers recommend applying a balanced fertilizer during the growing stage and then adding more phosphorus and potassium during the flowering and fruiting cycles. But, how much nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium do we need to apply to maximize dragon fruit yield? Is there an optimal dosage of fertilizer for dragon fruits?
A study, done in Vietnam in 2000, was aimed at finding the effect of N.P.K. on the yield and quality of dragon fruit. Another study, done in Bangladesh in 2014, revealed how varying doses of N.P.K. fertilizers affect the yield of dragon fruit.
Both studies showed convincing and consistent results, which are now the subject of this video. It presents the required amount of each primary nutrient and its timing of application, as recommended in those studies.
