A trip on the Condor
A trip on the Condor Ferries, Condor Liberation fast ferry service from Poole, Dorset to Guernsey in the Channel Islands. We are not the best sailors but luckily it was as calm as the English Channel ever gets.

It was misty and wet when we left Poole but the skies were clearing when we arrived at St Peter Port in Guernsey. The crossing was very smooth so we could try the food and do a bit of Duty Free shopping.
As Guernsey has Duty Free status there is a limited amount you can buy in the onboard shop - 1 litre of spirits and 6 bottles of wine.
The journey time was 3 hours on the fast ferry, compared to 7 hours on the traditional ferry service. Each passenger gets a designated seat in the lounge so when you park your car there is no rush to get to the lounge.
