How well does the Neewer "Digital High Definition 0.45x Super Wide Angle Lens With Macro Japan Optics" wide lens adapter function? I run this cheap chunk of glass through the paces. Findings : as expected the image quality is not good, but unexpected is the alleged 0.45x is fake, much closer to 0.8x, these adapters will NOT turn you 18mm into an 8mm lens equivalent, more likely a 14mm equivalent. To be fair - $10 is an awesome price, and a lot of people like to purposely screw up their images with photo effects way more than this lens will. I just wish the magnification was as advertised.
