In this video, my golden retriever Ellie and I hike into our remote cabin in the Chippewa National Forest of northern Minnesota. We're here to check up on the cabin and spend a few days here, as it will be the last time we get up here before my wife and I have our baby girl. About our Family Cabin: The original Steward Family Cabin was built in 1936 and has been a place where generations of Stewards have grown to love and cherish the outdoors. There have since been a few iterations of that cabin, and today this is our family's getaway in the Northwoods of Minnesota. This building was built in the 1980s as a bunkhouse for the main cabin and was later converted to be our full time cabin structure. Our cabins in northern Minnesota have been the inspiration for all of my Tiny Cabins.
