The journey starts on the coast, where the Bay of Kotor is reminiscent of a fjord in Scandinavia. In the Blue Cave near Herceg Novi, the two swim in bright turquoise water and in the region around Ulcinj there is not only the longest beach in Montenegro at 13 kilometers, but also drained salt pans where, with a bit of luck, flamingos can be observed .
Leaving the coast of Montenegro behind is worthwhile, as many sights lie inland, such as the rock monastery of Ostrog, the Durmitor National Park or the wild Tara Gorge. It offers lots of adventure for outdoor fans - from rafting to canyoning to ziplining.
