Lean how to make a cubic paper box with only 1 piece of paper. To make this origami box, you will need one square piece of paper. Then just follow the instructions to fold your cube box.
This cube box does not have a lid, I will soon publish another origami tutorial to show how to make an elephant lid, which you can put onto this origami box to make a paper elephant box!
In the video I use a 15x15 cm square piece of paper. Each side of the finished cube box is 1/4, just a bit less than 4 cm. Of course you can make a bigger box by using a larger piece of paper.
This box is different from the traditional origami masu box, it is smaller but sturdier (the masu box tends to opens inside). It can be a bit messy to fold in the sides inside the box at the end, but don't worry, you can push the sides inside gradually and everything will fall in place.
Please send me pictures of your origami boxes and let me know what you are going to store in them! This box can also make a very nice handmade gift box for small presents like earings, rings and other jewels.
