HP Split x2 Review

Lisa Gade reviews the HP Split x2 Windows 8 hybrid. The Split x2 runs Windows 8 64 bit on a 3rd gen Intel Core i3 CPU with 4 gigs of RAM and a 128 gig SSD. The 13.3", 1366 x 768 display detaches from the keyboard dock just like on the HP Envy x2, so you can use this as a tablet or a laptop. There's a secondary battery in the keyboard dock to double runtimes. The Split x2 is the most affordable Windows 8 transformer style laptop with Intel Core CPUs, and this model sells for $699 at Best Buy. HP also offers Core i5 and additional storage options if you buy direct.
