Buntzen Lake is located at 5000 Sunnyside Rd, Anmore BC. It is a BC Hydro reservoir that's 4.8 km long and covers an area of 182 hectares. Buntzen Lake is surrounded by a large selection of trails ranging from short and easy to difficult long uphill loops that can be completed from 2 to 3 hours. Buntzen Lake also offers many amenities such as picnic tables, shelter and grass play areas, boat launch, canoe rentals, a designated fenced area for dogs and more. It's a busy place in the summer but open all year. The warm and clean waters make it a popular swimming destination especially on hot weekends. Parking is free but tends to fill up early especially during summer so make sure to arrive as early as you can. One of the most beautiful, clean lakes near Vancouver and worth a visit!
