Each contraceptive method that users selected at enrollment is represented by a color (the outer band of the circle). When a participant switches from their initial method, the color of their initial method carries across the circle to the method they switched to, allowing the viewer to identify decision-making patterns. The size of the “chords” represents the number of people switching from one method to another, with larger “chords” representing a larger proportion of participants who switched to a particular method.
