After exploring the historic center of Pienza, we set out to explore the plains of 'Val d'Orcia'.
The first destination is the ‘Chapel of the Madonna di Vitaleta’ at 'Val d'Orcia' plain, which is said to have been the subjects of the most photographs among the Tuscany region of Italy. And do you know, there are two famous photo spots where you can get best views of the Chapel Vitaleta. We visited there and captured the best views of Chapel Vitaleta. The small chapel, framed by two rows of cypress trees was built in the spot where legend says the Virgin Mary appeared to a shepherdess. In 1533, a statue of the Virgin Mary by Andrea della Robbia was installed in the church, today conserved in the Church of Madonna di Vitaleta in San Quirico.
And when we returned to Pienza, the sunset had already started, so we could take pictures of the beautiful sunset.
