Chevrolet Performance engineers took a production LS3 6.2L, that makes 430 HP, and swapped the stock camshaft for the Chevrolet Performance Hot Cam. This cam swap resulted in a stunning jump to 480HP and 475 lb/ft of torque. That's nearly a 12% increase in power and torque from a simple camshaft change. To make your LS376/480 swap easier, Chevrolet Performance engineers have developed a very comprehensive engine controller kit that makes installation a snap. The kit includes a new GM E-67 ECM, (engine control module), electronic throttle pedal assembly, mass air flow sensor, a pair of oxygen sensors and a purpose-built wiring harness with OE-style connectors. The ECM comes with a custom calibration preloaded for this camshaft combination, so it's ready to plug-in and drive.
The LS376/480 does not come with a front end accessory drive, as we don't know what chassis you're going to drop you new engine into. Chevrolet Performance does offer a couple of different LS-designed FEADS to accommodate most chassis installations. A dimensional drawing for each can be found in the Chevrolet Performance catalog. A Chevrolet Performance FEAD kit is very comprehensive, including all pulleys, tensioners, alternator, A/C compressor, alternator, power steering pump, and respective mounting brackets and hardware.
If you already have an LS3 engine, but like the sound of an additional fifty horsepower, the LS3 hot cam is sold separately under part number 88958733.
