This is my rendition of the bass line of Bee Gees' 1977 disco hit "Stayin' Alive", performed with my Pedulla MVP Series II bass guitar over a custom-rendered, MIDI-based backing track.
ABOUT THE SONG
Written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb, "Stayin' Alive" was produced by The Bee Gees, Grammy-Award winner Albhy Galuten and Karl Richardson and recorded at Château d'Hérouville (Paris, France). The song was recorded as a part of the soundtrack of the Saturday Night Fever motion picture.
Shortly after being released (on December 13, 1977), "Stayin' Alive" peaked the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on the week of February 8 1978 and it remained at that position for four weeks, becoming one of the most famous songs of the band.
