In this video I walk you through how you get Toyota Techstream to communicate with your Landcruiser 200 Series using Microsoft Windows 11 or Microsoft Windows 10 and earlier versions.
Techstream and the Mini VCI cable that connect to your Landcruiser 200 series OBDII port were both designed to operate in a 32 bit environment. Most modern computer operating systems are 64 bit and this creates communication errors between the computer and Mini VCI cable.
In this video I install a 32 bit operating system within my 64 bit Windows operating system using a Virtual Box. From there I install Toyota Techstream onto Windows XP running in the Virtual Box.
This is a great solution to get a consistent and problem free linkage between your laptop, through your OBDII port reader, to the Landcruisers ECU systems.
