We explain why although the input lag of LED LCD TVs is similar to OLED's in [Game Mode], the actual latency when playing games is different due to the respective pixel response times of these two display technologies.

We used an oscilloscope + photodetector to measure the pixel response time, a slow-motion camera to demonstrate the real-world impact, as well as NVIDIA's LDAT (Latency Display Analysis Tool) device to measure the total end-to-end system latency.
