Near signal on the left: WCH base, WCH gate mechanism, 2 pairs of United Group 8-inch clear LED lights, a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell and Unipart LED gate lights.
Far signal on the left: WCH base, 1 pair of Alstom 8-inch clear LED lights.
Signal on the right: WCH base, WCH gate mechanism, 2 pairs of United Group 8-inch clear LED lights, a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell and Unipart LED gate lights.

On the morning of 20/1/2023, we had plans to head out to this railway crossing on the southern side of Goodwood, since I hadn't recorded in a while and I wanted to redo this crossing because the lighting facing towards the camera.
After arriving there and recording a crossing activation for a northbound Adelaide Metro service to Adelaide. After 10 minutes, I started recording and hoping the Great Southern would come through, but instead a southbound Adelaide Metro service to Belair came through with railcars 3128 and 3127. The crossing remained activated for almost 2 minutes (and thought it was a malfunction), and then, the Great Southern came through with NR44 leading and NR30 which was nice from the standard usual NR30 NR31 lashup on most Great Southern trains. Also one of the cars that stopped at the crossing and the person inside of it asked me what train I was filming and I said 'Great Southern was coming through', they went out of their car and started recording it with their iPhone.

This crossing is a nice one featuring a mixture of Alstom and United Group LED lights, although most Alstom lights in SA are mostly on cantilevers. Also, the road that the crossing is on has an underpass that goes under the road and under the train line.

This crossing used to be gateless installed by the SAR, I believed it had 2 signals each having 3 pairs of McK&H lights on it and a WRRS mechanical bell on one of the signals. But around the 1980s, the crossing was replaced with gated signals that have most of the equipment from Western Cullen Hayes. Then in 2012, both of the mechanical bells that were from Western Cullen Hayes were replaced with Safetran Type 3 electronic bells.

Now in 2013 is very interesting, when Adelaide Metro had plans to electrify Seaford and Flinders railway lines, they had to redo part of the line so it goes under Victoria St and Belair and the ARTC Adelaide - Melbourne lines. (My reasoning down below)
And Adelaide Metro had to redo this crossing with new signals, most of the equipment was reused from the previous signals, the WCH bases, WCH gate mechanisms, but I don't know about the Safetran Type 3 electronic bells.

Then in 2019, the crossbucks were replaced with ones with the red background on them.

Here are my reasonings from above: Firstly, to not delay the Seaford and Flinders trains from the ARTC trains going across the diamonds, and second, ARTC don't want overhead high voltage powerlines across their line.
