You Can't Wash This Off Your Produce

Have you heard about Apeel? - the “natural” spray that coats numerous types of produce to enhance shelf life? Are we being gaslit to think that a manufactured compound is safe for us to eat again?

Apeel, is sprayed on a variety of different types of fruits like apples, avocados, limes and cucumbers. Aaand it can't be scrubbed off.

This product is derived from grapeseed oil, which is high in polyunsaturated fats and linoleic acid, which increase inflammation, disrupt cellular energy production, and impair thyroid and other hormone functions.

It's also been found to contain measurable levels of heavy metals and chemical solvents…. cadmium, lead, arsenic, mercury, and hexane, which is a solvent used to extract the oil from the seeds.

And if you think you're safe cuz you eat organic, well, you're not, cuz it's sprayed on organic produce too.

Europe and the UK DOESN’T use it on their organic produce though, which says a lot.

It's products are in numerous grocery stores like Costco, target, trader Joe's, Walmart, and whole foods.

I HAVE reached out to suppliers at Costco, like rainier, cmi orchards, and bostock. They all confirmed that they don't use apeel.

I personally don't buy anything with the apeel label, and I still peel the skin off apples cuz I don't trust anyone anymore.

It's all. Just. So. Ridiculous.
