Our Free-Range Hens | Waitrose

What does it take to produce happy egg-laying hens? How about allowing them all to be Free-Range. So they can roam, play and perch all day long. With trees for shade and houses with plenty of food and fresh water as and when they want it.  

Forget cages. We haven’t used them since 2008. And beak trimming? Not on our farms. Ever. We’re the only supermarket to guarantee this. It’s why we’ve won the Compassion in World Farming Good Eggs Award four times in a row.
