I show you how to perform voltage and voltage drop testing and a quick way to check to see if the underlying problem is a corroded engine ground strap.
I would recommend the bulb style circuit tester. The LED digital ones cannot check amperage. Using the bulb style tester you can detect a dim light which would denote a loss of amperage.
