Yasen Class Nuclear Cruise Missile Submarine: Hidden Russian Arsenal

The Project 885 Yasen, also called Graney, is the latest class of nuclear attack submarines of the Russian Navy. They pack a large payload of anti-ship cruise missiles, including the Kalibr and the Oniks.

The Yasen was designed by Soviet engineers in the 1980s. It combines the advanced stealth and low noise levels of the Improved Akula class, and the large payload of cruise missiles of the Oscar II.
