1936 Slingerland "Artist Model" Snare drum Restoration ( From the Trash to the Stash) PART 1

I was going to go "rat rod" finish on this gem, but changed my mind at the very last minute. Check it out! In this edition, I plug a hole, belt sand it and strip the paint. Then its on to the steps of sanding to a fine finish, stain and lacquer.
In PART 2.... I will assemble this lovely nearly 90 year old sweetheart and take it around the block for a spin. This is a really nice shell and should sound incredible.
