How to knit newborn baby hat for beginners 0-3 months

Newborn baby hat yeys! Very
Newborn baby hat yeys! Very easy to knit so no worries!
Plus it fits 0-3 months =)
Sidenote: this is one of my first videos so bare with me 😅
Materials needed:
~size 8 (16inch)circular knitting needles,
~size 8 double pointed knitting needles (optional)
~yarn used-medium size 4 (thin soft)
❗❗keep in mind yarn size/material matters❗ different material/sizes/bulky yarn will produce different results. Regular worsted size 4 yarn is not the same as worsted size 4 baby soft yarn.
~scissors
~yarn needles
~stitch marker
Abbreviations:
Knit = K
Purl = p
Knit 2 stitches together = k2tog
Detailed instructions: (sorta detailed)
-Cast on 59 stitches
-pass over first cast on stitch with last stitch, (Passo) Note: this will decrease your stitches by 1
(now you have 58 stitches)
-Rows 1-8: *K1, P1
turn hat inside out to knit in reverse (or you can just purl the entire row without turning it inside out)
Row 9: Decrease 2 stitches for total of 56 stitches,(meaning knit 2 stitches together, do this 2 times only)Ex: Knit 10 stitches, k2tog, knit 20 stitches, k2tog, knit the rest of the row
rows 10-27: K2, P2
Decrease:
Row1: K2, P2TOG
Row2: K2TOG, P1
Row3: K2TOG, *repeat for entire row
Ends up to 14 sticthes.
