Hello my friends and today I want to show you a new product twenty twentytwo - the Michelin Primacy 4 plus tire.

This model is an update of primacy 4 and it has absolutely the same asymmetric tread, completely for asphalt, it doesn’t need to be off-road, but it has excellent drainage,

but there are a couple of differences with previous and I’ll tell you about it. Michelin says the tire is safe as new and safe as worn.

Indeed, please note that the grooves that help with drainage and grip, due to the edge effect, are cut to the base of the tread, which, of course, does not allow us to talk about it as a tire for people with racing ambitions,

as than more solid the tread, so it more stable, but this tire is not for racing - the primacy line created for comfort

And now the tread depth - it determines how much water the tire can remove from the contact spot at the moment and with the hardness of the rubber compound, determines how long tyre will last.

You can see that the tread depth is 6.3 mm, but on the version before 4 plus , it was 7.3 mm. A significant difference, but the Michelin says about increased wear resistance.

However, do not be upset, because the depth may be less, and it will give better handling, but due to the hardness of the compound, the mileage of the tire can be compensated and I think that the noise on the label is not accidental higher

I am sure that by measuring , we will see a more hard compound, that in the Primacy 4. But let's not guess - let's, as always, take three measurements and get the average.

First measurement - 62.5,,,, second - 62.0 and third - 61.0, average 61.8 As you can see from our comparison chart, this is a soft compound, but harder than Primacy 4 without plus.

and despite the loss of 1 mm in the depth of the tread, wear resistance could well increase, due to harder compound

And here it is important to separate - wear resistance and mileage. After all, if you increase wear resistance due to the compaund and reduce the tread depth, then the mileage will not change from this.

Because the mileage of a tire is the kilometers traveled, and the wear resistance is the ability of the tire to resist abrasion. Well, if the mileage has increased - time will show it

Let's weigh the tire - if the weight is low, then the tire is more economical and gives an increase in dynamics and due to the balance of sprung and unsprung masses - is more comfortable.

Weight in this size 8.9 kilograms and it's a light tire

The sidewall is elastic and comfortable. The sidewall thickness is one of the characteristics showing how durable the tire and the norm is from 5 to 8 mm, here 5.7 mm.

To sum it up, i want to say this is still a great comfort tire with excellent performance. However, if you are looking for a sport tire, this model is not for you.
