In this video you will discover the KEY to mixing Pendulum Paint Consistency…BUT it isn’t what you think. There really isn’t one way to mix the paints. I know that is defeating in some ways, but it is the truth. If you are going to mix your colors and create your pendulum paint consistency, there is no right or wrong way or one ratio. I start with a 2-parts Paint to 1-part GAC 800 and 1-part water.
So…for me if I need 4 oz I start with 2 oz of paint add a little water at a time and mix as I add until I get to 3 oz…then I add 1 more ounce of GAC 800 to help bind the paint. Then if the paint is not running off the sick in a very fluid steady thin stream and creates any kind of mark or mound on the surface I add more water until it goes directly into the paint in the cup without a mound on the surface. If this does not make sense ask me below and I will make sure I answer it.
There are artists who create pendulums by buying thinker can pant at the store and just pokes a hold in the bottom of the paint can, but for me, I like to use metallic paints or add iridescent to my paints…so if you like to mix your own paints this is a good video to see it just takes some time to get the right consistency especially if you mix colors like I like to do to get the color I want.
