Duck Hunting 2022 | Mixed Bag On A Hidden Pond! (Public Land)

I've found that hidden areas on public land tend to produce some exceptional duck hunting so when I spotted a tucked away public pond on OnX, I was pretty stoked to see what it might produce. I scouted the pond right after opening day of the 2022 season and saw hundreds of mallards and wigeon using it, but didn't have time to get out there for a hunt until over a week later unfortunately. It was a long walk in even with our small decoy spread but Cory and I made it to the pond just in time for the morning flight to start kicking off. The action wasn't lights out but we had a good amount of ducks and geese work the pond and were able to get some decoying action from a mixed bag of birds. Hope you enjoy!
